  • A Tingly Time of Year

    I think I used this title for another blog post...seems appropriate for these words penned a few days ago....

    Leaves fell Friday
    Golden
    Snowflake-like
    Beginning to carpet my backyard

    Today they skitter
    Frantic to make their escape
    To someone else's lawn

    I should don a red sweatshirt
    For the sake of celebration

    My favorite season is underway

    @Nancy - I always think of Parker's Apple Orchard in the fall...that big garage/warehouse  where they kept the crated apples smelled fabulous!

    Autumn is my favorite time of year too, especially days like today! The deep blue skies, bright sun and crisp mornings are precious gifts from God. Do you ever wonder if days like this are God's way of apologizing for the gloomy winter days soon to come?
